We’re well into the school year now, so we decided to make an ice cream in tribute to that classic school lunch sandwich, the PB&J. All-natural peanut butter from Once Again Nut Butter in Nunda, NY anchors this ice cream, blended with fresh dairy from Pittsford Farms Dairy. For the “jelly,” we made a brandy-laced compote of Concord grapes from Fisher Hill Farms in Canandaigua, NY. A touch of fleur de sel and locally produced honey brighten the flavors and pull it all together for an ultra-creamy sweet and salty ice cream.
